About Mid-America

The new Mid-America Baseball, launching in 2007, is a compilation of well established organizations across the Midwest. Each organization has as its goal to advance its players to college and universities by playing the best competition and venues possible.

Mid-America was not formed to compete with other national organizations, nor is its goal to put others out of business or to be divisive in any way. Teams from Mid-America will compete in a number of existing national organizations. This is an attempt to meet the needs of its members in what is an ever-changing amateur baseball landscape.

Mid-America Baseball is not a league. Our members will host invitational tournaments whose pools and brackets will be populated by other Mid-America teams, though not exclusively. Mid-America will have a national tournament at all levels. These tournaments will have the best teams from the organization at each level, where appropriate. Organizations who aspire to become associated with Mid-America Baseball could be invited to enter these national tournaments to fill out the field.

Mid-America is currently composed of 10 organizations that exhibit the following characteristics:

  • Teams at several age levels, typically 15U through 18U

  • Operated at these various levels for a period of years, anywhere from 3 year to, in some cases, almost 20 years

  • A recognized reputation for integrity, competitiveness, and poise

  • Achieve a high level of success on the field
